Founder & Professional Co-Host, Host Away
I didn’t start Host Away because I wanted to build just another vacation rental company. I started it because I believed the industry needed a different approach.
I had seen how traditional property management practices could prioritize company profits over the best interests of homeowners and guests. Too often, I felt transparency was lacking, homeowners had little say in decisions affecting their investments, and promises were made without the accountability to back them up.
I knew there had to be a better way. So I chose to create one.
When I founded Host Away, I made a commitment to operate differently. No hidden agendas. No empty promises. No one-size-fits-all approach that expects every homeowner to have the same needs, priorities, or goals.
Instead, I built Host Away around three principles: complete transparency, genuine partnerships, and the freedom for homeowners to have a voice in how their properties are hosted.
I don’t believe homeowners should surrender their voice simply because they’ve entrusted someone to help operate their vacation rental.
Every property is different. Every homeowner has different expectations. And every investment deserves an approach designed around its individual needs.
That’s why I chose co-hosting.
To me, being a co-host means working with homeowners, not dictating to them. It means communicating honestly, presenting options, providing guidance, and respecting the fact that the property and the investment ultimately belong to them.
My role is to bring experience, knowledge, dedication, and solutions to the table while giving homeowners the confidence that their interests remain a priority.
Those three words represent the foundation of Host Away.
I believe profitability and integrity should coexist. Success should never require dishonesty, misleading promises, or taking advantage of the very people who place their trust in your business.
I would rather have an uncomfortable, honest conversation than offer reassurance I cannot stand behind.
I would rather earn someone’s trust through consistent actions than win their business through unrealistic promises.
And I believe that treating guests fairly is just as important as protecting the interests of homeowners.
Because doing the right thing isn’t a marketing strategy. It’s a standard.
One of my greatest accomplishments is seeing Host Away grow through relationships and referrals.
Knowing that homeowners trust us enough to recommend our services means more to me than simply adding another property to our portfolio.
As Host Away continues to grow throughout the Smoky Mountains, I remain committed to the same values that inspired me to begin this journey.
Growth will never be an excuse to compromise our integrity, transparency, or personal attention.
I won’t promise perfection. Unexpected challenges are part of vacation rental ownership, and anyone who tells you otherwise isn’t being realistic.
What I will promise is honesty, accountability, open communication, and a genuine commitment to doing what’s right.
You’ll have a voice. You’ll have choices. And you’ll have a co-host who understands that earning your trust is a responsibility, not an entitlement.
Host Away was founded on the belief that homeowners and guests deserve better. That belief remains at the heart of everything we do.

Submitting an inquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list.
The website uses browser storage for preferences, anonymous form authentication, spam prevention (including a daily limit of four inquiries per IP address), and a visitor identifier used to count visits. Our hosting providers may also process technical information, such as IP addresses and request logs, to operate and protect the website. Inquiry records remain in our systems until removed by an authorized administrator; the website does not currently apply an automatic deletion schedule. Copies in email accounts and provider backups may have separate retention periods. We restrict Admin Inbox access to authorized accounts and use encrypted connections. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Contact us if you would like us to review or remove an inquiry.
You may choose not to use the form or leave the optional phone field blank. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your inquiry information, contact us using the email below.
